Bangladesh named two replacements for the injured pacer Taskin Ahmed for the tour of New Zealand.
Shafiul Islam will join the one-day international team, while the uncapped Ebadat Hossain has been included in the Test side, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Tuesday, 5 February.
Ahmed, who had been named in both squads, had been ruled out of the series due to a lateral ligament injury to his left ankle.
Islam, 29, who has taken 63 wickets in 56 ODIs for Bangladesh, last played a 50-over game for his country in 2016. His performance in the Bangladesh Premier League for Rangpur Riders has earned him a recall to the national side.
Hossain, 25, burst onto the scene when he won a pace-bowling hunt a couple of years ago. He has been on the fringes of selection, and recent performances in domestic cricket have seen him finally break through.
Bangladesh are set to play three ODIs and three Tests in New Zealand, starting 13 February.
