Tuesday morning brought about a delighting news for the Indians as the IAF launched an air strike across the LOC, destroying Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camps. The move by the Indian Air Force came on the eve of the 2nd T20I between India and Australia, where Virat Kohli and his men would look to level the series 1-1 having lost the opening fixture in a nail-biting manner. Ahead of the final match in the shortest format, Kohli came up with a thrilling post on Facebook where he shared a picture of the Indian team training with the caption, “How’s the Josh?”.
The air strike by IAF comes as a reply to the suicide bomb blast that came a little less than 2 weeks ago by Jaish-e-Mohammed which saw 40 CRPF jawans being martyred in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The catchy phrase ‘How’s the Josh?’, comes from the recent superhit Bollywood movie, ‘URI – The Surgical Strike’ – a dramatised account of the Indian Army’s retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack in the valley. With Kohli posting the same on his Facebook account, fans knew exactly what was the post in relation to.
As for the on-field affairs, India would look to put the last-ball defeat against Australia in the 1st T20I behind them in a bid to end the T20I series level 1-1. The Men in Blue were defeated 2-1 by New Zealand in the shortest format earlier this month under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
