The preparations for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 are in full swing, with the eight franchises beginning training camps for the available players. Social media is also buzzing with plenty of action from the franchises’ end. Delhi Capitals took to Twitter on Thursday to share a video of Shikhar Dhawan – where the left-hander answered a series of questions part of rapid fire.
From his favourite places to hang out in Delhi to his favourite bowler of all time, Gabbar answered it all. When asked about his favourite bowler of all time, the Delhi cricketer said, “I like Shoaib Akhtar a lot.” While the political tensions between India and Pakistan might be at its peak, cricketers from both countries share a great camaraderie off the field and Dhawan’s answer is yet another testament of the fact. Dhawan was also asked about the bowler he feared the most to which he replied that it depended on which bowler was troubling him on that given day.
Dhawan, who had been an integral part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the last few years, was traded by Delhi Capitals in exchange of three players.
Announcing Dhawan’s departure, SRH wrote on Twitter, “We have traded Shikhar Dhawan to Delhi Daredevils for Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma. We thank Shikhar for his contribution to the team over the years and wish him the very best.”
