Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Friday appointed former allrounder Farveez Maharoof as the ‘Manager of the under 19 National Team’ for the upcoming Pakistan under 19 tour of Sri Lanka. Pakistan under 19 team will tour Sri Lanka during the months of April and May 2019.
Maharoof’s appointment came into effect since 1st April, 2019.
“ Whilst thanking Sri Lanka Cricket for this opportunity, I wish to state that I am honored to serve the game in my new capacity, which will enable me to use my experience, skills and the knowledge of the game to guide the youngsters aspiring to represent the national team in the future;’ Maharoof said following his appointment.’
Maharoof, a former Sri Lanka all-rounder, represented his country in both tests and limited over versions will also remain as a Junior National Selector.
