Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi’s autobiography ‘Game Changer’ has created quite a stir in the cricketing fraternity, be it for the age issue or the all-rounder’s comments on former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir. He also revealed his all-time World Cup XI where he went on to snub the greats MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar while picking Virat Kohli.

Indian fans were left bemused with Afridi’s picks as two of the greatest cricketers the country has ever produced didn’t feature in the World Cup XI while Kohli, who still has a lot to prove as far as the World cup is concerned, made it through.

Giving an explanation on the same, Afridi revealed that he chose Kohli over Dhoni and Tendulkar because of his exuberant batting skills.

“Sachin and Dhoni are greats and they have achieved a lot for Indian cricket. I picked Kohli because he just looks so majestic and beautiful to watch while batting,” Afridi was quoted as saying by PTI.

Shahid Afridi’s All-Time World Cup XI: Saeed Anwar, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Virat Kohli, Inzamam-Ul-Haq, Jacques Kallis, Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Shoaib Akhtar, Saqlain Mushtaq.
