Sri Lanka Cricket will conduct the ‘Under 19 Super Provincial 50 over Tournament’ from the 16th July to 23rd July, 2019, with the participation of the four Super Provincial Teams, namely Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Dambulla.
Each team will play 03 games in the first round, while the top two ranked teams will go into the finals.
The matches will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium and the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Nearly 60, Under 19 players will take part in the tournament, thus getting an opportunity to showcase their skills at the national level.
‘’This tournament will help us unearth young talent in the country, who in turn will get an opportunity to represent the U19 National Team, ‘A’ Team or Emerging Team, thus giving them an ideal path to reach the international stage,’’ said Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the Winning team, Runner Up, Player of the Match, Best Batsman and Bowler of the tournament and also the Player of the Tournament.
