Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid found themselves running for cover as the rest of their team-mates began to celebrate winning the World Cup on Sunday.
England won the tournament after beating New Zealand in the most dramatic of fashions, after both the match and super over were tied.
Eoin Morgan’s men took home the victory due to their higher number of boundaries and the delight was clear to see from the moment Martin Guptill was run out on the final ball.
Naturally it wasn’t long until the champagne came out but that made things rather awkward for Ali and Rashid.
Having just watched his captain lift the trophy, Jonny Bairstow proceeded to spray a bottle of champagne over his team-mates.
The duo are devout Muslims, a religion which forbids the consumption of alcohol.
Clearly both Ali and Rashid were ready for the champagne to be sprayed at some point, positioning themselves on the outskirts of the group.
