Sri Lanka Sports Minister Harin Fernando’s Father Nihal Fernando passed away following a heart attack on Monday. He was 68.
Harin, after taking over as Sports Minister in December last year, has done some remarkable things for Sri Lanka Cricket, including the establishment of ICC Anti-corruption unit in Colombo and suspending former board President Thilanga Sumathipala from Cricket.
Moreover, with the pending parliament approval of much awaited Anti corruption law and prevention of offenses relating to Sports Bill, Harin is on the verge of creating history not only for cricket, but for other Sports in the Island as well.
