Dale Steyn is regarded as one of the best bowlers to have graced the cricket field. The South African speedster recently made the headlines after he was released by Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the auction scheduled to be held on December 19 in Kolkata. Steyn on Saturday took some time out to hold a question and answer session on social media platform Twitter and responded to some interesting queries by his fans while revealing his favourite spinner, batsman, the toughest player he has faced among other revelations.
While Steyn was holding the Q and A session on Twitter, one of the fans asked the veteran Proteas speedster who the best bowler in the world is at the moment. Without taking much time, Steyn took the name of Indian seamer Mohammed Shami.
“According to you to best bowler now?,” the fan asked Steyn to which the speedster replied: “Shami on current form.”
The 29-year-old has been the cynosure of all eyes due to his heroics with the ball for the Men in Blue. Shami was among the leading wicket-takers in the ICC World Cup 2019 and has continued his brilliant run of form since then. After starring in the Test series against West Indies and South Africa, Shami was again the game-changer for India in the first Test against Bangladesh in Indore where he picked up seven wickets to help the hosts demolish Bangla Tigers by an innings and 130 runs.
