Ahead of the next IPl season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have remained in speculations about renaming the franchise name in the build-up to the 13th edition of the cash-rich domestic tournament. On Wednesday, RCB opted to remove their profile picture from all of their social media accounts. With RCB hinting that a potential rebranding of the Bengaluru giants is on the cards, skipper Kohli also expressed his concerns and revealed that even the leader of the RCB side is not kept in the loop.
“Posts disappear and the captain isn’t informed @rcbtweets, let me know if you need any help,” skipper Kohli said in his tweet. With Kohli expressing concerns, the official handle of the RCB came up with a mysterious tweet couple of hours later. “B R A C E Y O U R S E L V E S, 14th February, remember the date,” RCB said in their cryptic tweet on Thursday.
According to reports, RCB are set to install a change in their match jerseys after roping in of one of the leading NBFCs for the 13th season of the IPL. Taking cognisance of RCB’s social media antics, Indian spinner was also baffled with the recent development. “Arey @rcbtweets, what googly is this? Where did your profile pic and Instagram posts go?” Chahal tweeted.
