Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been postponed amid the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.
Pakistan Super League’s official Twitter pageconfirmed the update and added that the matches will be rescheduled for a later date.
“PSL 5 postponed [has been postponed], to be rescheduled. More details to follow in due course,” the post read.
The whole of PSL is being held in Pakistan for the 1st time in the league’s history and Karachi is all set to host 6 matches, including a playoff tie.
The coronavirus outbreak has triggered a global health scare and sporting events across the globe are being canceled or pushed to a later date. Some of the biggest sporting events have been postponed or being played behind closed doors.
Multan Sultans were to take on Peshawar Zalmi at 2pm at the Gaddafi Stadium, followed by a clash between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars at the same venue in the evening.
