Many Indian cricketers, and other sports personalities, have donated generously to the PM Relief Fund in a bid to assist the country as the world is dealing with the deadly COVID-19 crisis at the moment. Former all-rounders Irfan and Yusuf Pathan had also donated masks to the needy amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, the Pathan brothers have again come forward for helping the needy in such testing times as the duo have distributed over 10,000kg rice and 700kg potatoes for the backward section in the country.
Yusuf and Pathan told, as reported by CricTracker, “We are ready to support the government in every possible way in such a critical situation. The next few days are going to be critical and we appeal to every citizen of the country to stay indoors and look after his health and take care of everyone around him.”
Earlier, the likes of Sourav Ganguly-led BCCI, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, ace shuttler PV Sindhu, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, boxer Mary Kom, sprinter Hima Das and many others have also come ahead and donated to their respective state funds along with a contribution to the PM Cares Fund to combat the spread of COVID-19, which has already caused havoc across the globe with plenty of casualties.
