After winning their hard-fought opener versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and then losing dismally against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), RCB captain Virat Kohli has come up with the perfect post which can surely can be the need of the hour for his team. In the Instagram picture posted by Virat Kohli after his team’s 97 run drubbing at the hands of KXIP on Thursday, the entire RCB squad can be seen standing in a hurdle.
‘Unity is the vehicle, desire is the fuel,” Virat Kohli has captioned the image ahead of RCB’s clash against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians (MI) on Monday.
Team pacers Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini and Dale Steyn were very expensive as they sprayed the ball all over the pitch in the game. Aaron Finch has joined the franchise this year to strengthen their top-order but the Australian limited-overs captain is yet to fir in the IPL 2020.
The pressure keeps on building on RCB season after season because of their surprising title-less draught in the cash-rich league.
“You don’t want to beat yourself down too much. You have prepared well, practised well, so trust the process and as a team, you just have a stick together. You take a win together and take a loss together and move ahead and look forward to the next game.
“A couple of important chances against a set-batter, 35-40 runs against a set batter makes a big difference. I know these things look small, but I would like to take my example tonight and make all of us understand and myself how important these things can be when we’re looking to push forward as a team. It doesn’t help when we drop a guy who is set, twice in 2 overs,” Kohli had said after the KXIP loss.
