Legendary Roshan Mahanama, Aravinda De Silva, Kumar Sangakkara and former spinner Muttiah Muralitharan on Friday named in four member cricket committee by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Aravinda de Silva has been appointed as the Chairman of the committee.
“Sri Lanka Cricket appointed the following members to the ‘Cricket Committee,’ taking into consideration the recommendations made by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Namal Rajapaksa.
Accordingly, the new ‘Cricket Committee’ of Sri Lanka Cricket comprises the following members
Mr. Aravinda de Silva
Mr. Roshan Mahanama
Mr. Muttiah Muralitharan
Mr. Kumar Sangakkara ” SLC said in a statement.
The Technical Advisory Committee has been tasked with providing advise on the development of the sport to the Sports Minister, Ministry officials, and the president of Sri Lanka cricket.
Both Sangakkara and Murali are currently gearing up for their assignments in Indian Premier League (IPL).
