T Natarajan, who has recovered from a shoulder injury after a long rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, is back with the Indian team in Ahmedabad. India and England will play the decider 5th T20I, on Saturday, at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
While Natarajan joined the team on Thursday, it is unlikely that he will play a part in the T20I series. However, the left-arm pacer could be in the playing XI for the three-match ODI series starting next week.
The 29-year-old took to Twitter to post a photo of himself in the Blue jersey and wrote: “’Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life’ – Thrilled to be back in blue with the boys.”
Natarajan had a dream season in IPL 2020 where he took 16 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad as his team bowed out in the Eliminator of the tournament, and was crowned as the yorker specialist. It was his performance there that earned him a call for the Australia tour, as the net bowler, where he made his ODI, T20I and Test debuts.
