Ahead of the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, former speedster Shoaib Akhtar has tried his best to ease the nerves of captain Babar Azam.
“Important baat @babarazam258: Sab se pehle, Aap nay ghabrana nahi hai :),” Shoaib Akhtar tweeted.
All eyes of the sporting fraternity will be on the blockbuster clash in Dubai on October 24 when Virat Kohli’s team locks horns with Babar Azam’s side. India and Pakistan last played bilateral cricket in 2012 but their meetings in ICC tournaments have garnered huge interest.
Notably, Babar Azam will have a crucial role to play in the high-voltage match against India as a leader and a premium batter. Azam will be playing in his first T20 World Cup, and there will be a lot of responsibility on his shoulders to change Pakistan’s fortune against India and help the team to qualify for the semi-finals.
India have a formidable record against their arch-rivals Pakistan when it comes to the cricket World Cups. India had never lost a World Cup game to Pakistan in either the one-day or T20 formats.
