Prestigious Galle Cricket Club (GCC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect the office bearers for the next two years will be held on June 26, Cricket Age reliably learns.
According to sources, the Executive Committee (ExCo) of the GCC has decided to call the AGM on Sunday 26th June at 4.00 PM. Cricket Age understands that this is as per the constitution of the club to have the AGM before 30th June.
Earlier, there were some reluctance regarding the AGM, due to scheduled Australia tests at Galle. First Sri Lanka VS Australia test is scheduled to be played on June 29th.
The present office bearers, led by president Kumar Smarasinghe were elected on 27th August 2020. Cricket Age understands that Samarasinghe will once again be contesting for the top post!
