Indian captain Rohit Sharma kept his playing XI under wraps ahead of their high-profile game against Pakistan scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 28. Sharma said that India were going to try out a few things irrespective of the results in the game and said that the team had not decided on the playing XI just yet.
“Mood in the camp is buzzing. Fresh tournament and new start. Not thinking about what happened in the past. Challenging to play Pakistan. Taking one game at a time!” Sharma said on Saturday in the pre-match press conference.
“We have not decided on playing XI. We will watch the match tonight and decide. Match will be played on the same wicket,” he further added.
“All the young bowlers stand a chance to get a nod in. We are open to give responsibility and see how they respond. We will go in with best possible XI. Dinesh off late has done well in recent times,” Rohit said.
