Team India suffered a major injury blow ahead of its Super 4 campaign in the Asia Cup as star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja sustained a right knee injury and was ruled out of the T20 tournament. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Axar Patel as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup. Jadeja is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.
His replacement, Axar Patel, was earlier named as one of the standbys in the squad and will join the team in Dubai soon. Jadeja’s injury comes as a big blow to the Indian team as the star all-rounder was the Rohit Sharma-led side’s second-highest scorer in the five-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 opener.
