In a dramatic turn of events, Vinothen John, former national player, has been appointed Sri Lanka A Team Manager for the home series against England in January next year, Cricket Age reliably learns.
Sri Lanka A is scheduled to play two 4-day and three 50 Overs matches against tourist England A side. Vinothen’s appointment was approved during Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) ExCo meeting on Tuesday (December 20).
Interestingly, at last month ExCo meeting, another former Sri Lanka player Charith Senanayake’s name was nominated. However, In new developments, Vinothen was preferred over Senanayake!
