BCCI is set to hold a review meeting to discuss India’s T20 World Cup performance along with coach Rahul Dravid, captain Rohit Sharma and National Cricket Academy chief VVS Laxman. The meeting will take place in Mumbai on January 1.
Just a month after India suffered a humbling 10-wicket defeat at the hands of England in the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia, the BCCI are all set to review India’s performance in Mumbai. The meeting comes just two days before India face Sri Lanka in the first game of the three-match T20I series at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Dravid and co. have received a lot of criticism from fans over their performance in the shortest format of the game and the way in which India was knocked out of the T20 World Cup.
The team management has made several changes to the T20I side from the group that played the World Cup to the one facing Sri Lanka. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul have been rested for the series, with Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill replacing them in the starting line-up.
