Former India player Harbhajan Singh has laude Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson for his rapid knock vs Gujarat Titans on Sunday, 16 April. Samson hit 60 off 32 balls and formed the base for Rajasthan Royals’ first ever victory over Hardik Pandya’s team in the Indian Premier League. The RR captain pulled the team out of trouble when they were reeling at 55/4 in the 11th over of the game while chasing 178 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
“Huge, a captain’s knock. Such players have more courage than other players. He is a special player. He had an even bigger impact than Hetmyer because he made the game and Shimron Hetmyer finished it,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports after the game.
“If you have confidence in your ability, you can take the match deep. MS Dhoni used to take the game deep because he didn’t have any doubt over his ability. He knew that if he stays till the end, he will finish the match,” Harbhajan compared Samson to MS Dhoni.
