My favorite memory is a first ever Test double hundred in front of Sir Vivian Richards: Virat Kohli

It was in the Caribbean that Virat Kohli first wore India’s Test kit, back in 2011 as he made his debut in the longest format of the game against the West Indies.

As the Indian team returns for another tour, the former India skipper was asked of his fondest memory touring the Caribbean.

“My favourite memory obviously is Antigua. I got my first-ever double hundred in Test cricket in Antigua in front of Sir Vivian Richards. That for me was a very, very special moment and then he met me in the evening as well and congratulated me. It can’t get any better than that,” Kohli told Star Sports.

It was in 2016 that Kohli scored his first Test double hundred, which have been followed by five more.

On Sunday, Kohli would also revisit another throwback. “The only two guys part of the last test we played at Dominica in 2011. Never imagined the journey would bring us back here in different capacities. Highly grateful,” he captioned a photo of him alongside Dravid.
