A significant development for this year’s Asia Cup is the adoption of a hybrid model by the ACC. This decision came after months of speculation and was officially announced on June 15. The hybrid model, proposed by Pakistan, was accepted by the ACC after India refused to tour Pakistan due to strained relations between the two countries. Under this model, Pakistan will host four games, while the remaining nine will be played in Sri Lanka. This arrangement ensures that the tournament can proceed smoothly despite the political tensions.
