The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has nominated President Roger Binny and its vice-president Rajeev Shukla to travel to Pakistan and attend matches during the Asia Cup 2023 campaign. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had extended an invitation to the BCCI to attend the matches in the Pakistan leg of the tournament, which gets underway on August 30.
The two top officials will travel to Pakistan as representatives of the BCCI during the Asia Cup. Roger Binny and Rajeev Shukla will travel to Pakistan via Wagah Border on September 4.
Pakistan will host 4 matches of Asia Cup 2023 while Sri Lanka will get to host 9 matches. Pakistan have the hosting rights for the tournament but a major chunk of the matches were moved to Sri Lanka after India refused to play their matches in Pakistan.
