South Africa batter David Miller opined that Jasprit Bumrah’s recent bowling brilliance makes him more of a threat to all the batters in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Despite Bumrah’s Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise MI being in dismal form in the ongoing season, the seasoned India pacer has been in formidable form with the ball. Bumrah’s bowling prowess has seen him bag 20 wickets in his 13 matches in IPL 2024, and become the current holder of the Purple Cap.
Speaking to PTI, Miller highlighted how Bumrah’s return to action and that too, in formidable fashion in T20 cricket, is a point of concern for all batters gearing up for the World Cup starting on June 2.
“There are so many good Indian players. But me being a batter facing the bowlers, I think Bumrah is bowling well at the moment. And he has been a world-class bowler for many years. He’s a threat to me, as well as every other batter in the World Cup,” Miller said.
Having not played any T20I match for India since their clash against Ireland back in August 2023, Bumrah’s IPL 2024 form has only extended the World Cup promise for the pacer.
