Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jerome Jayaratne has once again returned to High Performance Center (HPC) as Director, Cricket Age reliably learns. The development is related to reconstructing the HPC to focus on upcoming ICC tournaments, especially ODI World Cup in 2027.
Cricket Age understands that Australia’s Tim McCaskill, as head of the HPC, will continue overseeing high performance, while Jerome, In his new profile as Director Cricket, will look after national pathway.
Jerome, former S. Thomas’ and CCC cricketer, is considered very close with Sri Lanka coaches at the HPC.
McCaskill is backed by Consultant Coach (part time) Mahela Jayawardene, while Jerome is rated highly by Consultant Coach (full time) Sanath Jayasuriya.
