Sri Lanka legend Sanath Jayasuriya’s mother passed away in Matara. She was 80. She had been battling with the illness for long. Jayasuriya, who is currently in USA with the Sri Lankan cricket team as a consultant coach, will return to Sri Lanka.
Jayasuriya had arrived US on May 25, before Sri Lanka’s warm up matches. The team will be playing their first game against South Africa today.
