Mentor Roshan Mahanama a ‘morale boost’ for LPL franchise Dambulla Sixers!

Roshan Mahanama, Sri Lanka’s 1996 World Cup winning legend and former ICC elite panel match referee, association with Lanka Dambulla Sixers as mentor has given a morale boost to Lanka Premier League (LPL) franchise!

One of the most respected cricket Icon in the Island, along with Sidath Wettimuny, Mahanama took over the charge as mentor following an owenership change in Dambulla Sixers. Sri Lanka’s greatest spinner Rangana Herath (head coach) and Thilina Kandamby (batting coach) are also a part of Dambulla Sixers coaching setup.

“I am thrilled to be mentoring the talented cricketers of the Dambulla Sixers! As their mentor, I believe in developing responsible, confident, and resilient individuals who will make Sri Lanka proud. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with the team, guiding them to stay focused on their goals and maintain a strong sense of discipline and sportsmanship on and off the field. My goal is to help these young cricketers to work towards making our country proud” the 1996 World Cup winning Icon said.

“The Dambulla Sixers are blessed to have a mentor of Mr. Mahanama calibre, who believes that developing talent is greater than winning at any cost” the Dambulla Sixers management on his association with the franchise.

The fifth edition of the LPL, featuring five teams, kicked off on July 1.
