Virat Kohli has written a thank you message for the Mumbai Police for their incredible work during India’s T20 World Cup victory parade in Mumbai on July 4. The Indian team, after arriving in Delhi and meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, came to Mumbai to have their victory parade and a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

Kohli and the team’s victory parade was from Nariman Point to Wankhede stadium along the Marine Drive and fans had arrived in huge numbers to get a glimpse of the T20 World Champions. The Marine Drive had come to a standstill as fans gathered in numbers and Mumbai Police were forced to issue a traffic advisory to the citizens ahead of Team India’s celebrations. The police wrote on Twitter that citizens are requested to avoid commuting towards Marine Drive.

The Mumbai Police were able to do a splendid job during the whole parade and their work was appreciated by everyone. Kohli took to X and put out a statement thanking the Mumbai Police for their dedication and hardwork to ensure things went smoothly during the event on Thursday.

“Deep respect and heartfelt thanks to all the officers and staff of @MumbaiPolice & @CPMumbaiPolice for doing a phenomenal job during Team India’s Victory Parade. Your dedication and service is highly appreciated. Jai Hind!” said Kohli on X.
