Bangladesh Cricket Board announced its 16-player squad for this month’s two-match Test series against India, starting September 19 with uncapped batter Jaker Ali Anik included in the squad. Pacer Shoriful Islam misses out through injury in the squad led by Najmul Hossain Shanto.
India’s home season will open with the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai on September 19, followed by the second match in Kanpur from September 27.
India are currently atop the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle standings with Bangladesh jumping up to the fourth spot after their wins in Pakistan.
