The selectors have decided to release Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Kamindu Mendis, and Asitha Fernando for the 3rd and final ODI of the ongoing series.
This decision was taken by the selectors to give the above players adequate time to recover and prepare for the upcoming test series vs. South Africa.
Replacements
In the meantime, Nuwanidu Fernando, Lahiru Udara, and Eshan Malinga have been included in the ODI squad as replacements.
The third and final ODI of the ongoing series will be played on the 19th November at PICS, Pallekele.
