IPL Auction 2025: David Warner Goes Unsold

Written by Shreyas Vyas

Australian better David Warner went unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The 38-year-old opener, who led Sunrisers Hyderabad to the IPL title in the year 2018 and most recently represented Delhi Capitals, did not have any takes at the mega auction in the Middle East.

The southpaw has been one of the most consistent performers in the Indian Premier League with a willow in his hand, but none of the teams opted to raise their paddle when the maverick batter’s name came up at the auction.

Rishabh Pant fulfilled all the promise surrounding his name ahead of the auction as Lucknow Super Giants splurged on the Indian wicketkeeper roping him for a record Rs 27 Crore, making him the most expensive signing in the history of the tournament.
