Former Test cricketer Dilruwan Perera has stepped down from the Sri Lanka Cricket selection committee to assume a coaching role with the national team.
Currently with the Sri Lanka Under-19 team in the United Arab Emirates, Perera is transitioning into his new role while the team progresses in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.
Sri Lanka secured a spot in the semi-finals of the tournament with a commanding 131-run victory over Afghanistan. They are set to face Bangladesh in their final group-stage match tomorrow.
