Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) top officials met Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage at Ministry of Sports yesterday (16) for a discussion on the various matters, including plans to develop facilities required for cricket, strategies to enhance the sustainability of cricket stadiums, and ways to leverage cricket for promoting tourism.
The meeting was attended by SLC Presidesnt Shammi Silva, who was accompanied by Vice president International Cricket Jayantha Dharmadasa, Vice president domestic Cricket Ravin Wickramaratne, Treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyada, and CEO Ashley de Silva.
During the meeting, discussions were also held on getting SLC’s support to develop other sports in the country and introducing initiatives to promote school sports development alongside cricket.
