Sri Lanka Cricket has hired Peter Sleep and Timothy Mc Caskill to work with the national players to enhance their skill levels. The duo will start working with the preliminary squad, who underwent training in Pallekele for a two week period, starting from 09th May, 2018 in view of the upcoming West Indies tour.
Peter Sleep, the former Australian leg Spinner will work with the spinners, while Cricket Victoria’s High Performance Manager; Timothy Mc Caskill will work with the squad’s fast bowling unit.
Both were hired as short-term consultants, under the recommendation of Head Coach Chandika Hathurusinghe.
Sleep will work with the squad for 15 days, while Mc Caskill will work for 10 days.
Mc Caskill is hired primarily for his expertise in working with international bowlers in remodeling their actions after major injuries.
The two experts will also conduct a coach education session to 50 National High Performance and Club coaches on the 18th May, 2018.
