Former Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Ray Jennings had earlier predicted that a bust-up between then India coach Anil Kumble and captain Virat Kohli could be possible. Anil Kumble had stepped down as the coach of the Indian team due to Virat Kohli having reservations with his coaching style. Jennings worked with both Kumble and Kohli when they were players at Royal Challengers Bangalore. He had also criticized ViratKohli.
Jennings who coached Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2008 to 2013 blamed Virat Kohli for his sacking from the franchise. He had said, “People generally don’t like being questioned and their shortcomings pointed out but I knew what I did was for his, and the team’s well-being. He is a very talented kid but sometimes thinks he is better than the game.”
