Last night the Asia Cup 2018 witnessed an unexpected ouster with Afghanistan knocking out five-time champions Sri Lanka from the tournament. Afghanistan won the game by 91 runs and left the Sri Lankan fans in a state of shock with Lanka making an exit from Asia’s flagship event. After winning the toss, Afghanistan elected to bat first and they put up a total of 249 runs on the board. In reply, the Angelo Mathews’ led Sri Lankan team collapsed like a pack of cards on 158 runs.
This definitely did not go down well with the fans as the team did not even put up a convincing fight against Afghanistan.
