Even though he is one of the busiest person in the cricket world as he still plays t20 leagues around the globe, and takes coaching roles as well, Legendary Mahela Jayawardene finally found a leisure Sunday, yesterday. He enjoyed the day with family and watched the first ODI on TV.
But, as Sri Lanka were thrashed by India so badly that angry supporters choose to protest in Dambula in front of the team bus, Mahela took twitter to argue to the fans to be calm and supportive.
“Understand the frustration of the fans but taking it out on the players who are under pressure doesn’t help. We have to get behind the team” he replied a fan, who asked him his reaction on the continues decline of the team.
When another fan asked what is the solution to find a winning way, he said those who are in power, must find a solution.
“People in are positions to find the solutions” he replied.
But he too, realized that if Coach Nic Pothas himself feel disappointed with the ‘inner’issues, they must be sorted out.
“If that’s what the coach feels then it an issue. I do feel for the fans but we should remain Calm and find solutions” he wrote on his twitter handle .
