Sourav Ganguly trolled himself on Neha Dhupia’s show after the actor suggested Hrithik Roshan’s name to play the former India captain in a sports biopic.
Ganguly was at his wittiest best on Neha Dhupia’s show and had no qualms in accepting that he didn’t have a physique, during his playing days, as good as Hrithik Roshan has now which is why the Bollywood superstar will have to tone it down a little to look like the cricketer.
Ganguly couldn’t think of a name when Neha Dhupia asked him which actor would do justice to his role in a biopic. Which is why Dhupia suggested Hrithik Roshan, who has one of the best physiques in the Hindi film industry.
Ganguly instead made a joke on his own body after hearing Dhupia’s suggestion.
“But he’s got to get a body like me, first. Lot of people would say the way Hrithik’s body is, how good-looking he is, and how muscular he is, people would say ‘Aree, you’ll have to get a body like Hrithik’. But, Hrithik will have to get a body like me before he starts,” Ganguly said on No Filter Neha.
The current BCCI president also opened up on getting trolled by his daughter Sanaa, saying that the banter is always fun and the comments made by her on social media are always made with good intentions.
“I remember that, I said I’m working on a Sunday and she had just woken up. So, what she was saying is that you work on a Sundays and just see, I’ve woken up at 1’o clock in the afternoon. Because, she had just finished her board exams.
“I think lot of the trolls is with good humor. Lot of people told me that you should ask your daughter not to troll you on Twitter, Instagram.
“I say what the hell, she can do whatever she wants. Because, I know she’s doing it in a good way and I don’t mind this banter. At least, she’s noticing dad because after 5-6 years she won’t even notice dad also,” Ganguly said.
Ganguly is currently in the United Arab Emirates to oversee the preparations for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, which had to be shifted abroad this year due to the coronavirus crisis in India.
