The Sydney Cricket Ground turned completely pink on Saturday to celebrate Jane McGrath Day just before the start of play on Day 3 of the third Test between Australia and India.
Traditionally Ladies’ Day, Day 3 of the Pink Test has been renamed Jane McGrath Day and is celebrated with the entire SCG turning pink each year in honour of Jane, raising money for the Foundation. This year marks the 13th year of the Pink Test.
Players from both teams participated on the occasion by placing their signed pink caps into a bowl which will then be auctioned by the McGrath Foundation to raise money for Breast Cancer awareness and for the McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia.

“Ahead of the third #AUSvIND Vodafone Pink Test, a very special group of people unfurled the iconic silk in front of the stand named in Jane McGrath’s honour!,” Cricket Australia posted in a tweet before the start of play.
Former India captain Sachin Tendulkar had also extended his support to the McGrath Foundation by gifting an autographed India Test jersey to Glenn McGrath which will be auctioned.
“It was wonderful meeting @glennmcgrath11 after long. My best wishes to him, his team & especially the nurses who are the backbone of this initiative,” Tendulkar posted on his social media accounted as he posed for a picture with his autographed jersey and Glenn McGrath.
