The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has Issued permanent letters to the selected employees who have recently made permanent, Cricket Age reliably learns.
According to the sources, SLC media department Nilushi, Assistant treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyadda’s secretary, CEO Ashley De Silva’s peon and secretary Mohan De Silva’s driver are among the lucky employees, who have been made permanent.
“Even COPE and Sports Ministry secretary was on the opinion of making board employees permanent” a top SLC official tried to explain, when Cricket Age inquired about the development.
The SLC says that the main criteria for making employees was qualification, past record and loyalty. The top brass saw these attributes in drivers, secretaries and peons.
Some of the top bracket employees, however, couldn’t convince Maitland Place bosses for the same obligation. Cricket Age understands that Chamari Perera (confidential secretary), Sarindi Cooray (HR Executive), Chamara Polgampola (Finance Executive), Ruwan Perera (Finance executive), Nandana Rambukpotha (Finance executive), Sanduni Liyanapathirana (International Cricket department executive), Vimukthi Eakanayaka (HR Executive), Sachintha Cooray (assistant admin manager at HPC are among the high profile employees, who were been not considered.
Cricket Age had published on June 21 itself that secretary Mohan de Silva let admin committee had rejected the proposal of HR Manager Tanesh Dias recommending to make some board employees permanent. However, later powerful Sujeewa Godaliyadda triumphed, as SLC ended up making selective employees permanent.
“Head Of Department (HOD’s) recommendations were not attached with the proposal, so it was rejected during the meeting” an Insider at admin committee had told Cricket Age in June.
