Sri Lanka dashing left-handed opener Kusal Perera is set to return to international cricket, for the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan, depending on his fitness test.
“KJP has recovered from his injury and will be considered for Pakistan T20, provided he passes testing this weekend back home” A Senior Team Official told Cricket Age from UAE.
Kusal had picked up a hamstring injury during Sri Lanka’s seven-wicket win against India at Oval during the Champions trophy and since missed Home series against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and India.
Prior to injury, he was in good form having struck two important knocks in the Champions trophy, interestingly while batting down the order.
The three T20 match series will commence from 26th October, while the third t20 match is scheduled to be played on 28th at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
