In a positive move, Sinhlease Sports Club (SSC) stalwart Samantha Dodenwela has been appointed as the new tournament director of Lanka Premier League (LPL).
The league is scheduled to take place in August this year.
Dodenwela is hailed as a honest, transparent and straightforward administrator in cricket circle in the Island. He is already serving as an ExCo member and chairman of the SLC tournament committee, which supervises domestic cricket in the country.
The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), along with former Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa, used to claim that the inaugural edition of the LPL was a success!!
