Sri Lanka young batting prodigy Sadeera Samarawickrama equaled an unwanted record of Legendary Sachin Tendulkar during the fifth and final match of the ODI series against Pakistan, today.
Opening the batting, Sadeera was clean bowled by Pakistani fast bowler Usman Khan, thus created this unwanted record. With a third ball duck, Sadeera joined the list of those batsmen, who started their ODI career with two consecutive ducks. Having made his ODI debut in the fourth match on 21st October, he was bowled by Imad Wasim came to bat at number five.
interestingly, Sachin and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson also have this record on their names!
Trailing the series 4-0 and in danger to face third whitewash of the year, Sri Lanka won the toss and choose to bat. In place of Dhananjaya, Lakmal and Garage, Sri Lanka have included Jeffery Vandersay, Dushmantha Chameera and Vishwa Fernando in the playing XI.
Pakistan also made one change for the match, as they included allrounder Faheem Ashraf in place of Junaid Khan.
