Sri Lanka’s World Cup winning legendary captain Arjuna Ranatunga Friday won the battle of becoming the Executive Committee (ExCo) Member of the Sinhlease Sports Club (SSC), Cricket Age exclusively learns. At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today, he secured 9th place in the ExCo.
Arjuna emerged victorious in spite of shameful campaign against Arjuna carried by a former Sri Lanka captain, who is notorious for undercutting World Cup winning Icon.
Arjuna, who put Sri Lanka on World cricket map with 1996 triumph, played all his First Class cricket for SSC and has been an integral part of the setup since his playing days!
