Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has heaped praise on Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana, saying he has led KKR from the front in the ongoing edition of IPL. Harbhajan lauded Nitish Rana’s performance with the bat and also the way he is leading them as a captain.
“Nitish Rana has led KKR from the front in the last two games. His timing has been immaculate, he attacked spinners and pacers with equal ease. He is batting well and even making the captaincy moves brilliantly,” Harbhajan Singh said speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live.
KKR, on the other hand, is concerned about their all-rounder Andre Russell, who has struggled with the bat in this IPL. Russell was unable to finish his quota of overs against SRH in Kolkata on Friday night because to cramping, but his three wickets kept KKR in the game for a long time.
It remains to be seen whether KKR will wish to try out the explosive English batter Jason Roy at the top, given how well Gurbaz has done in that situation. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy have taken wickets for KKR, who have just added Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das to their ranks.
