Sri Lanka’s Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, along with his delegation, is scheduled to meet Deputy Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Imran Khawaja today at 2.30 PM over alleged political interference in Island’s Cricket Board functioning, Cricket Age Exclusively learns.
Khawaja’s visit is aimed at conducting a ‘Fact Finding Mission’ pertaining to the said ‘mandate.’’
Cricket Age understands that Ranasinghe has appointed a delegation, comprising of four most prominent figures of different fields.
As part of his ‘Fact Finding Mission’ Khwaja Yesterday held discussions with the President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Shammi Silva, and the Executive Committee members.
During discussions with the board officials, Khwaja inquired about issues faced by SLC owing to political interferences and the impact it has on administering the game.
