Yashasvi Jaiswal is raring to get back in action as he hopes to deliver in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament ahead of Team India’s home test series against Bangladesh followed by New Zealand.
The Indian opening batter remains enthusiastic about taking part in the domestic tournaments. In an interaction with JioCinema, “It’s a great opportunity whenever we have the chance to play the Duleep or Ranji Trophy. I’m really looking forward to that, and I hope I’ll enjoy my game. I’ll try my best.”
In all certainty, Team India is likely to continue with Jaiswal at the top of the order after his stellar performance against England at home scoring over 700 runs in the five-match affair.
“Every match is important because of the World Test Championship. You have to make sure you give your best as every win counts. Any opportunity to play for India is incredible, and representing the country is the biggest motivation that I have,” said the 22-year-old.
“I have worked hard to keep up my form and continue to do so to ensure I maintain it. The more consistent I stay with my practice and preparation; my results will improve,” he commented.
He added, “On maintaining consistency as a player, “I don’t overthink, I just need to prepare well and keep improving myself as a player. The more I repeat these steps, the better I’ll get.”
India will be going up against Bangladesh as part of their next assignment in a two-match Test series at home. Jaiswal is looking forward to the contest and is relishing the competition against an in-form Bangladesh side.
