‘We’re Very Clear About It’: Rajeev Shukla On India Not Travelling To Pakistan For Champions Trophy

The tussle between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seems to have put the International Cricket Council (ICC) in a fix. The Indian cricket board has informed the ICC that Rohit Sharma and his team will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. On the other hand, the PCB, which has been reluctant to implement the hybrid model, has sought an explanation from the global body over India’s stance.

While the ICC toils to find a middle ground to conduct the eight-nation event, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has opened up on the ongoing episode. Speaking to ANI, Shukla said that India is clear about its stance and that it will act according to the government’s advice.

“We are very clear about it and it’s our policy that – whatever the government asks us, whatever the direction it gives, we will do according to that – we have conveyed this to ICC as well,” said Shukla.
